Aegean Sea, November 1943: After a failed island occupation, around 1,200 British soldiers are trapped by the enemy. A rescue convoy is on its way, but looming over the strait they must pass are the gigantic guns of the impregnable island fortress of Navarone. A handful of specialists led by Captain Keith Mallory is dispatched to neutralize the guns. As the team battles against the cold, the mountain, and overwhelming enemy forces, their greatest adversary is time: the guns of Navarone must be silenced before the rescue ships come within range.
