The Talking Bird is one of The Chinese Library Series for beginning Chinese learners. The series is a collection of graded readers aimed at students studying Chinese as a foreign language. To make the reading more accessible and enjoyable, the stories are short as well as culturally and linguistically authentic. The vocabulary is relevant to and chosen from multiple exams. To aid comprehension, every story is fully illustrated with delightful drawings. Each reader is accompanied by 3-4 pages of exercises.
