At war's end war criminals and collaborators had to be arrested pending their trials, in a time marked by revenge. This book examines new perspectives on the scope and fate of the Nazi camps in Norway during WW2. One of the most symbol-laden sites in Norwegian war history is in focus. The SS camp Falstad in central Norway was an arena of Nazi abuses from 1941-1945. After the war, it was made into a prison and played a key part in the Norwegian post-war trials.
