Two years before the events of Stranger Things Season 4, Eddie Munson, the Hellfire Club leader and Hawkins outcast, faces his last months at Hawkins High. For most, Hawkins is a picturesque all-American town, but for Eddie, it feels like a never-ending Tomb of Horrors. Senior year is merely a countdown between Dungeons & Dragons sessions and band gigs. At a local dive bar, he meets Paige, a former Hawkins resident who has created an exciting life in Los Angeles working for a record producer. She's a true badass with impeccable music taste and sees Eddie for who he really is, beyond the town's misconceptions. Paige offers him a chance to make something of himself, but he needs to record a demo tape for his band, Corroded Coffin. The catch? Recording costs money, and Eddie is broke. Desperate, he turns to his estranged father, Al Munson, who has re-entered his life with yet another questionable scheme. Eddie knows this is his only shot to raise the funds quickly. It's a risky move, but if it works out, he could finally escape Hawkins. Eddie feels it in his bones: 1984 is destined to be his year.
