After a minor injury, she is taken to a nurse practitioner for medical care. Maddie Goes to the Nurse Practitioner is patterned after the author's niece, a girly-girl in the midst of boys. This mix in a large, tight-knit family makes for some humorous tales & lots of memories for several generations! It is intended to be an entertaining children's book as well as an educational tool for the public who may not clearly understand the practice of nurse practitioners.
