The Awakening and Selected Short Stories

"The awakening" tells the story of Edna Pontellier, a wife and mother living in Victorian-era New Orleans. On a summer vacation with her children off the coast of New Orleans, Edna meets young Robert LeBrun, the son of vacationing friends. She develops unexpected feelings of attraction and desire for Robert.
