Perhaps no other device in history has embedded itself in the lives of everyday consumers more than the smartphone. From chatting on Facebook to checking work email and receiving directions to ordering food, smartphones are used every day for a huge variety of tasks, even more so than a PC at times. However, the use of smartphone can influence not only students' social life but also their academic performance, depending on how it is used. Thus, it is important that parents and school authorities ensure that students use smartphones for the right purpose so as to enhance their level of academic achievement.
