Más información sobre el libro

Derek Osbourne lives a quiet life, relying on a routine and his job as a tattoo artist to get by. With a complicated past and severe PTSD from years of abuse, he believes no one would want to deal with his struggles. Now caring for his abuser in hospice, he has resigned himself to a life of solitude. However, everything changes one stormy night when he finds himself trapped in an ATM vestibule with a stranger. Basil Shevach, new to Fairfield after taking over his late aunt's florist shop, is Deaf and feels out of place in a town where he and his sister are the only non-hearing individuals. While he doesn't dislike Fairfield, he questions if it's right for him. During the storm, he encounters Derek, a striking man with tattoos and haunted eyes, who is visibly panicking. Basil is intrigued but also wary; a past relationship with a hearing man ended badly, leading him to vow never to repeat that mistake. Despite his reservations, Basil finds himself drawn to Derek, unable to shake the connection that forms in their confined space. As they navigate their fears and past traumas, they must confront whether they can find happiness together or if their histories will keep them apart when they need each other the most.
