Petals on the River

In Virginia, 1742, white slaves, including the innocent Irishwoman Shemaine O'Hearn, arrive in a small settlement. After surviving a harrowing journey, Shemaine is purchased by a young widower as a nanny for his son. As she adapts to her new life, dangerous rumors about her new master and his late wife surface, challenging her courage.
