NATURAL ANTIOXIDANTS IN MEDICINAL PLANTS

Focusing on the harmful effects of reactive oxygen species (ROS) on biomolecules, the manuscript highlights the role of natural antioxidants, particularly phenolic acids, in mitigating oxidative stress. It discusses the limitations of these antioxidants due to their chemical properties, which hinder their effectiveness. The primary objective is to survey the significance of antioxidants and introduce various medicinal plants from East to West Asia that can aid in the prevention and treatment of diseases related to oxidative damage.
