William Tell Told Again

Set in a time when Austria dominated Switzerland, the story follows Walter Fürst, Werner Staufacher, and Arnold of Melchthal as they confront Gessler over oppressive taxation. Among them is the reluctant hero, Tell, skilled with a crossbow, who ultimately faces a grim challenge: to shoot an apple from his son's head at Gessler's command. The tension escalates as Tell's defiance leads to Gessler's demise, symbolizing the Swiss people's triumph over tyranny and the beginning of their fight for freedom.
