The study delves into the sub-surface geology and hydrothermal alteration of the Aluto Langano geothermal field, situated in the Aluto Volcanic Complex within the Central Main Ethiopian Rift System. It highlights the findings from exploratory wells LA-9D and LA-10D, reaching depths of 2500m and temperatures of 335°C. The research employs binocular and petrographic microscopy to identify various lithologies, including pyroclastics and rhyolite, while ICP-OES analyses reveal additional rare rock units, enhancing the understanding of the geothermal field's geological composition.
