Satin and Satine

The story follows Satin and Satine Abernathy, siblings with a unique heritage—Satin, born in Southern Germany, and Satine in Louisiana to a Black former GI and a White German ballet dancer. As they come of age, their childhood separation leads to complex feelings toward each other, despite their joyful upbringing by the East River in Manhattan. The narrative explores themes of identity, family bonds, and the impact of their diverse backgrounds on their relationship.
