Focusing on the production and marketing dynamics of hybrid castor seed in Gujarat's Banaskatha district, this study analyzes the characteristics of local castor growers, their production strategies, and distribution channels. It examines farmers' purchasing behavior, dealer margins, and the gap between demand and supply, while also identifying challenges faced by both farmers and dealers. By surveying 225 hybrid castor farmers and 25 dealers, the research aims to enhance agricultural marketing management and inform policy makers about crucial areas for market policy improvement.
