Focusing on the energy sector, this work explores the critical role of user awareness in driving behavioral change amid natural resource scarcity. It employs both inductive and deductive research methods in Itaipulândia/PR, gathering quantitative and qualitative data. The findings reveal a prevalent "common sense" understanding of local environmental issues. In response, the author proposes a set of evaluation indicators based on the PIER methodology, aimed at enhancing the analysis and assessment of social and environmental factors in the community.
