Coming Around

The narrative follows poet and songwriter Richard Rose as he uncovers his ancestors' ties to the local slave trade while researching for his semibiographical opera, Monte and Pinky. Confronted with this painful legacy, Rose, a social and environmental activist, embarks on a journey to understand and reconcile the injustices his family contributed to, highlighting themes of accountability, heritage, and the lasting impact of historical injustices.
