Saddies: A Cartoon Trilogy

The collection features single-panel cartoons that blend literary influences from the 1920s and 1930s with 1960s and 1970s conceptualism. Designed by Jancy Liu, it emphasizes the interplay between image and text. Following its success, Stromberg created two more volumes, each evolving in complexity and thematic depth. "Confusies" introduced intricate drawings and a richer printing process, while "Desperaddies" adopted a pocketbook format, exploring themes of love, alienation, and childhood trauma through a narrative structure.
