Electronic Characteristics of Graphene Oxide and Reduced Graphene

The study reveals that electrochemically reduced graphene (ERGO) exhibits significantly enhanced electronic and dielectric properties compared to graphene oxide (GO), with improvements by two orders of magnitude. This enhancement is attributed to stronger polarization from reduced clusters and thinner graphene sheets in ERGO. The research highlights the frequency dependence of GO due to interlayer O H bonds and discusses how dielectric permittivity varies with frequency and temperature, influenced by conduction losses and thermally activated transport mechanisms.
