Control of Potted Ornamental Insect Pests

Mealybugs are significant pests affecting both indoor and outdoor ornamental plants, causing extensive damage by extracting sap through their needle-like mouthparts. Heavy infestations lead to plant disfiguration, with the secretion of honeydew promoting sooty mold growth. Some mealybug species can inject toxins, resulting in bud and leaf drop.
