As he navigates the murky waters of local politics, he encounters Bernie Papy, a state representative who runs the illegal gambling scene with a mafia-like grip. This narrative unfolds a classic battle of wits, where the stakes are high and the odds favor the corrupt. The Special Edition also includes a previously unpublished prequel short story, "The King of the Keys."
