The book examines the complex dynamics of military support among Britain, France, and Italy in relation to U.S.-led military interventions. Through a multiple-case study approach, it analyzes the factors influencing transatlantic burden-sharing during the Kosovo War, Afghanistan, and the Iraq War. Insights from sixty original interviews with key policymakers and analysts reveal the motivations and challenges behind these nations' decisions to either provide or withhold military assistance.
