The Female Face of God in Auschwitz

Focusing on women's unique experiences during the Holocaust, this work critiques the masculinist perspectives in post-Holocaust theology by examining testimonies from four women at Auschwitz-Birkenau. It explores their perceptions of God amidst suffering and absence, engaging with prominent Jewish thinkers to challenge traditional narratives. The book argues for a nuanced understanding of God's role in the Holocaust, asserting that divine presence can be found even in extreme suffering and grace, thus resisting interpretations of divine indifference or vengeance.
