Regionalization and access

Focusing on the regionalization strategy of the Brazilian Unified Health System, this research investigates how it affects access to health services. By analyzing twelve studies from 2015 to 2020, the author identifies key themes such as the right to health, financing, and territorial organization, revealing significant gaps in the relationship between regionalization and access. The findings advocate for a shift towards "empowered regionalization," emphasizing transparency and collaboration among stakeholders to enhance health service accessibility.
