The Vampires of Mars

Set against the backdrop of Mars, young engineer Robert Darvel embarks on a thrilling journey after being sent by Hindu Brahmins. Upon arrival, he encounters hostile, bat-winged vampires and a decaying civilization ruled by the Great Brain. His adventure takes a dark turn when he returns to Earth with some of these malevolent beings. The sequel delves into the ensuing war with the vampires, merging elements of planetary romance with cosmic horror, as characters oscillate between heroic bravado and sheer terror.
