The research delves into the impact of climate variability on agricultural productivity and economic growth in Burkina Faso. By analyzing climate data over 55 years, significant changes in rainfall and temperature patterns were identified, particularly from the 1970s. Utilizing a Vector Autoregressive Model, the study reveals a long-term relationship between these climate variables and economic growth. Notably, increased rainfall positively influences economic growth, while rising temperatures have a detrimental effect, highlighting the complex interplay between climate and economics in the region.
