Foreign Seed

Set against the backdrop of World War I, the story follows Vice Consul Samuel Sokobin as he investigates the mysterious disappearance of Frank Meyer, an explorer for the U.S. Department of Foreign Seed and Plant Introduction. As Sokobin navigates the Yangtze River and various Chinese locales, he grapples with his own identity as the son of Jewish immigrants and the haunting absence of his fighter pilot brother in France. The journey not only seeks to uncover the truth about Meyer but also forces Sokobin to confront his past and unfulfilled connections.
