Surviving War, Oceans Apart

Set against the backdrop of World War II, the narrative follows Bogdan and Seiko, teenagers from Poland and Japan, respectively. Bogdan's journey begins as his family flees Bydgoszcz to Warsaw, where he joins the Polish Home Army during the 1944 Warsaw Uprising. Amid the chaos of the uprising, he suffers serious injuries and faces the harrowing experience of surviving seven POW camps after the Germans defeat the Polish resistance. The story highlights the resilience and struggles of youth during wartime.
