Desperate Measures

The story follows Gabriel Ash, whose life unraveled after his wife and children were kidnapped by Somali pirates. After leaving his government job and retreating to a small town, he nearly succumbs to madness. However, with the support of his dog Patience and a budding friendship with police officer Hazel Best, he regains his focus.
