The story follows Jude Keffy-Horn, a troubled youth shaped by his adoption into a hippie family and the tragic loss of his best friend, Teddy. After moving in with his father in New York's East Village, he discovers the straight edge movement, which promotes a drug-free lifestyle. Alongside Teddy's half-brother Johnny and new friend Eliza, Jude seeks to honor Teddy's memory but faces the complexities of addiction to this new lifestyle.
