Focusing on the comprehension of audiovisual texts, this work presents a systematic exploration of theoretical and methodological frameworks relevant to contemporary research in the field. It details an investigation aimed at enhancing students' understanding of audiovisual language at a Cuban secondary school. To achieve this, a structured set of activities was developed, including tasks designed for before, during, and after viewing five selected audiovisual texts, highlighting the cognitive, communicative, and sociocultural dimensions of learning.
