Set against the backdrop of the 1950s, a time often associated with conformity, a determined reporter named Roxie Mallone challenges societal norms. Rather than adhering to expected family values, she confronts the mob's influence in her town, particularly targeting Butchie Cagney, who masquerades as a moral pillar.
