Kazuki Mutou's life takes a dramatic turn when he is fatally injured while rescuing a girl from a monster. Revived by the alchemical Core Iron, he gains the ability to wield a Buso Renkin, or Alchemy Weapon. Teaming up with Tokiko, the original Buso Renkin user, he battles the sinister Homunculus creatures threatening humanity.
