After the war, the land and the sea were devastated and full of dangers. A new technology emerged allowing the few privileged to thrive above the dangers in floating city states. New Atlanta floated somewhere over the Carolinas. Moon, a teenager, was a resident of this great city. A program by the Order allowed a few "Grounders" access to New Atlanta to serve its residents, but also to attend school. One of these grounders was named Hanno.
