This is the third in a series of novels featuring the lawyer, Gabriela Sanchez. In Her Best Defense, Gabriela Sanchez agrees to represent to represent a seventeen-year-old girl who, along prominent Dallas business man, stealing his car and heading for Miami. After agreeing to defend the teenager her Congressman in the Rio Grande Valley announces he wants to retire and wants Gabriela to run for his seat. In Texas the seventeen year old defendant is treated as an adult for trial. The teenager's trial is scheduled for March of 2020, giving Gabriela the opportunity to return to the Rio Grande Valley and run for Congress. What could possibly go wrong?
