"The only constant in life is change," said Heraclitus in ancient times. Lakshmi, at 65 years of age, looks back on events that impacted her beliefs and reflects on the sociological and technical revolution that has taken place in India. She observes and understands the impact these dynamic changes have had on her and other Indians. "What to do? You are a girl, and I can't let you do these things." Lakshmi grew up hearing her parents say this to her many times. Whether it was higher studies or travel, her gender seemed to be an impediment. As she grew up, she found this attitude slowly changing. All her life Lakshmi had battled many demons, and now, she is a successful entrepreneur.
