In the near future, mainstream political parties are finished and a host of smaller, niche parties have filled the void.One religious-based party has managed to gain power through skilful use of marketing in local communities and postal vote manipulation.Within a short time of being in Government they have banned alcohol, pork, homosexuality and music. All women must wear head-coverings in public places and their religion is now taught in all schools. Women have been banned from the Police, Fire and Armed Forces and can only attend selected further education and university courses. Moves are being made to have gender-segregated education from primary school.A shell-shocked public are coming to terms with the new regime. The liberal capital City has tried hard to accept the new order but cities in the North are fighting back, totally unhappy with the sudden change to their way of life.Some in the City are also unhappy and rebel by playing music on the streets late at night, risking their lives by drawing crowds seeking a few moments abandon in a regimented society.This story is about these brave Streetplayers trying to stay one step ahead of the authorities.Democracy has died.
