The Author was born in 1945 in Germany/Bavaria and immigrated to the USA at age 17. She frequently gets asked what it was like growing up in a small village in the Bavarian Alps. She describes some of the traditions and customs she treasured growing up. She also provides a glimpse of the beauty and history of Bavaria. The family was very important to her and she shares what they were all about and how she interacted with them, how they celebrated holidays and how they dealt with hardships.
