Birgit grew up in a home with strong Scandinavian influences. The family carried on many "Old world" traditions which meant there were tomtes involved. The tomte stories share these traditions with a bit of humor and full of love. Through storytelling and drawing, tomtes have once again come alive in Birgit's life. This story combines a love of quilts, love for family, and love of tomtes. Dementia has affected several people in Birgit's life including her beloved Margit.
