Más información sobre el libro

An elderly couple, Wilbur and Ellie Weiss, who escaped Nazi concentration camps during World War II, tragically died in a car accident on a snowy New Year's Eve in 1980. Six months later, the couple responsible for their death, Andy and Marisa Janzen, moved into the Weiss' Victorian home in Charleston, Missouri, after Andy became the hospital administrator. Wilbur, with Ellie’s encouragement, devised various methods to scare the Janzen family away from their new home. This plan also affected the Pritchard family—Hank, Cindy, Mary, and Joseph—who were in the car with Andy when the accident occurred. Although Ellie urged Wilbur to avoid putting the children at risk, he struggled to keep that promise, insisting he would try to protect their innocence. After a tragic incident involving Hank and Cindy, the Janzen family became even more determined to stay in their home. As tensions escalated, Wilbur resorted to increasingly extreme measures to force them out, leading to a battle between the living and the restless spirits of the past.
