Greg Warren is a successful "hack" writer, working for a paperback publisher, The People's Press. He writes stories "on demand" but his need for a mood location often gets him into strange situations. After a bizarre experience skiing, his "boss" gives him the assignment to write a ghost story about a murdered girl and even supplies him with a suspected "haunted" house. The assignment turns out to be more than a ghost story. As it unravels, he finds that it includes threads of horror, love, and the truth of justice being served. Robert Perrelli, and his pen name alter ego, Greg Warren, wind up getting a lot more involved than "they" expected.
