Under the pressure of the Academy’s (as well as the magical world’s) expectations, Blythe works with her new friends to uncover the location of the Son of Mara as well as the capabilities of her own powers. As suspicions arise and new horrors find their way into Esalroth itself, Blythe must figure out whether everything she knows about Esalroth, its students, and even herself is fact or just as spoon fed to her as a fairytale.
