A Kurt Chowter murder mystery. Chief of homicide detectives, Kurt Chowter is somewhat puzzled when he finds the murdered victims on the floor leaning against a table leg, with a knife stuck in their heart. When Chowter puts the puzzle pieces together, he discovers that someone is giving the killer, better known as "The Painter," the orders on whom to kill, and when to kill them.
