Excerpt from The Descendants of Joseph Loomis, Who Came From Braintree, England, in the Year 1638, and Settled in Windsor, Connecticut, in 1639 There is another kind of error which may have been sometimes committed, in combining the materials derived from the public records of such towns as Windsor, Colchester, Lebanon, etc., where there were two persons of the same name and nearly of the same age, a record of a marriage or death may have been ascribed to the wrong person.
