Just settling in on a new home world can be disconcerting enough. Alexis needed time to conform to a new society, to learn a new language, to adjust to a thirty hour day, eight days a week. A sudden war with a totally unknown alien species in the depths of space wasn't quite what she expected next. With her true love ripped from her arms and in imminent danger almost certain to prove fatal, and her other admirers pressing for attention, time was certainly not her friend.
