It is not uncommon to find Christians who, on a monthly basis, pay into their local church 10% of their monthly income as 'tithe.' However, when asked the reason for which they do so, they'll simply tell you, "It's in the Bible." Others will tell you that they do pay tithes because God commanded them in the Bible to do so, claiming if they don't, they're robbing God and will attract God's curse in their lives, quoting Malachi 3:8-10.
