Round Trip / Criss-Cross

Two early works of noir fiction-the first a story of an alcoholic hoodlum, and the second a failed bank heist-from author who went on to write the Sergeant Griff series, the Peyton Place books and a number of popular historical novels. Criss-Cross, published the same year as The Postman Always Rings Twice, was filmed with Burt Lancaster and is considered a classic of noir fiction.
