When Donovan is released from prison, he has a plan and enlists his cellmate Barker and a few old friends for a bank heist that promises to set them up for life. The crew includes Jo-Jo, an ex-boxer willing to follow Donovan's lead; Barker, an ex-con with nothing to lose; Mamma, the ruthless owner of their hideout; her son Clarence, a bank teller intrigued by crime; and young Carol, who needs the money to free her father from a life sentence. Each member has their reasons for participating, but as Donovan's seemingly simple plan unfolds, complications arise. In another caper, Flood meticulously plans a heist at a Florida bank, assembling a crew that includes Frank and Kay, who pose as a couple to blend in, Kosta the arsonist, an old-timer to crack the safe, and a couple of muscle men to handle security. Flood believes he has the perfect team, with no ties to jeopardize his plans. However, unexpected events threaten to derail everything: Kosta's drunken antics lead to an early fire, one of the killers brings a woman along, and Frank and Kay unexpectedly fall in love, complicating their commitment to the job.
