Ambitious American grad student Odile Travers stumbles over the English language and English ways, trying to look cool and in charge, until her pride causes a fall into near-death and new life. Aided by a cast of lovable misfits, including a nice nun, a mean monk, and a ginger-haired barman, Odile lets go of striving and surrenders to love in its many forms.
