Clay has never dared to imagine freedom from GreenerPastures, the lab where she was created and held captive for the first nineteen years of her life. Her only companion in the world is an Avian-human hybrid named Anpiel. Everything Clay endures is to protect her. When Clay is forced to choose between taking Anpiel's life or braving the unknown of the outside world, she risks it all and escapes.
