Más información sobre el libro

The problem of whether or not to stimulate palm monoculture in the integrated production system in the Amazon as one of the possibilities for promoting inclusive and sustainable regional development stems from the challenge facing the region of how to use its valuable natural heritage, so that it continues to provide its services in an indefinite future, contributing to improving the quality of life of local populations. This work sought to analyze the perception of family farmers integrated into the palm value chain about their partnership with Agropalma and the other actors involved in the governance of the chain. It also sought to identify and analyze, in the context of the integration of family agriculture with the palm agro-industry, which social, economic and environmental factors are perceived as having the greatest impact on the quality of life of the integrated social agents and on the dynamics of local development, based on the socio-spatial realities of the communities of Água Preta, Arauaí and Apeí, in the municipality of Mujo, Lower Tocantins.
